ABOUT SENTRY METAL

Sentry Metal Services is a custom fabricator and coating preparation/application facility. As our website indicates, we have many services that may assist in fabrication of various carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloy material from design and fabrication to coating application and shipping.

Sentry Metal Services has slowly grown into different industry sectors, while maintaining the existing customer base. Over time Sentry has diversified its fabrication processes to be competitive and allow our customers a wide range of services.

HISTORY
Founded in 1970, Joseph L. VeRost, Sr. changed an abandoned, dilapidated dry ice plant into a fully functional service plant for coating preparation/application, structural fabrication, and structural erection. Within ten years of Sentry Metal Services (formally Sentry Metal Blast, Inc.) existence, the facility was expanded by 50% to create 45,000 sq. ft. in floor space, overhead cranes, and various equipment needs were added. Sentry Metal Services became established within the Niagara/Erie County Region, while gradually expanding its services nationally.

The unique capabilities of Sentry permitted us to seek other business opportunities. Sentry began implementing the diversified work force into another phase of custom fabrication, Fabric Support Structures. Sentry has worked within the AWS/AISC Procedures for quite some time and implementing this phase was not a challenge, it did however allow Sentry to claim another structural identity.

Moreover, Sentry Metal's expertise in aluminum and specialty alloy metals has rewarded us often. The implementation of Fabric Support Structures was in part, our knowledge of aluminum fabrication. The customer was limited with suppliers that had the ability to fabricate a structural project from aluminum. With our vast knowledge of custom fabrication identities, it was evident to our customer that we were more than capable of successfully completing the project. With the project a great success, Sentry has performed numerous other projects within the Fabric Support Structures.
